Landscape Construction Estimator--Ecological Restoration

Wilkinson Ecological Design Wilkinson Ecological Design Orleans, MA Orleans, MA Full-time Full-time 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago The Estimator-Ecological Restoration is responsible for preparing quotes, estimates and proposals by analyzing the scope of work and requirements, ensuring all opportunities are fully realized with an emphasis on quality, client satisfaction and profitability.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare design and landscape construction estimates and proposals utilizing project details provided by designers and project managers.
Work closely with the design team to ensure that proposals accurately reflect the project requirements, including regulatory conditions.
Review material, equipment, and labor details of previous WED projects to ensure proposals include accurate pricing and scopes of work.
Maintain and regularly update database of costs and prices to ensure the most accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, travel expenses, etc.
Keep up to date with industry trends and pricing to maintain competitive pricing.
Maintain and update standard template language for estimates and proposals, as needed.
Make site visits as necessary to verify site conditions and site access, as needed.
Work with necessary parties to maintain and improve quoting systems, as needed.
Qualifications Valid Driver's License 2
years' estimating experience in landscape construction, landscape architecture OR Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field plus 1
years' experience developing proposals and estimates.
Experience with competitive bidding, subcontractors and projects over $100,000.
Proficiency in M.
S.
Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) software.
Proficiency in CRM a plus.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to read and understand ecological restoration plans and specifications.
Highly organized with an attention to details.
Effective listening skills and communication skills (verbally and in writing).
Proven Interpersonal and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization.
Proven experience proactively identifying work that needs to be done and following through to completion.
Demonstrated ability to manage several projects at one time and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Timely and dependable attendance.
Ability to lift material and/or packages weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
This job will have exposure to occupational hazards such as tick-borne illnesses, biting and stinging insects, and will require exposure to a variety of adverse weather conditions year-round.
