Hours may be split 50/50 between the two practices (or other, depending on interest, prior knowledge, and need).
At Mass Vet Behavior (MVB), we see primarily dogs and cats for behavioral problems including aggression, anxiety, separation anxiety, fear and other phobias, litterbox issues, etc.
Appointments are seen in our Dennis Port office as well as some (limited) housecalls within our service area.
Duties for the behavior practice will include client communications (phone, email); scheduling appointments; billing; administrative support.
Some behavior appointment days could be done remotely via teleconference.
At the Animal Hospital of Orleans (AHO), our ideal candidate would be able to provide reception/administrative support.
AHO is a Fear Free Certified Hospital (small animal general practice) with boarding, training, and daycare, and many of our staff members have been with us long-term.
The hospital is proud to be a family-owned practice and has made several new investments in equipment and training (capnograph, dental radiology, Oncura ultrasound, etc.
).
We encourage our staff to develop their areas of interest and support growth.
Commitment to Fear Free principles is a requirement and Fear Free training is paid.
Strong writing skills are a must a, along with resume and cover letter.
Bachelor's degree preferred, CVT preferred, and must have strong computer skills (Cornerstone, Vetter), although experience with our specific software(s) is not required.
